I can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve. Are you bu I can’t believe it’s Christmas Eve. Are you busy wrapping presents, baking cookies, trimming the tree, making a fabulous Christmas Eve dinner? Everyone has different traditions. Some like to watch Home Alone, others read Twas the Night before Christmas and leave cookies and milk for Santa and maybe even chex mix for the reindeer (they need to eat too). Some families know that Christmas isn’t Christmas without reading the Christmas Story from the Bible. The Advent Wreath has one final candle that is usually lit on Christmas Eve. It is to welcome the Christ Child. The angels announced, behold I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior is born who is Christ the Lord. May we take time to give thanks to God for his indescribable gift, Jesus. He is the Light of the world and he brought with him Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. On behalf of the Restored 316 Family we wish you and your family a very Merry and Blessed Christmas. Do you have a favorite family tradition? Please take a minute to share in the comments. It might help inspire someone else to start a new tradition this year or next.
Several years ago I heard a friend mention this an Several years ago I heard a friend mention this and I was intrigued. She had a big mason jar that she prepared as the New Year was approaching. She had small papers in different colors that she filled out throughout the year as she was blessed by something. It might have been an unexpected phone call from a friend. Maybe someone said something that made her day. Then on New Year’s Eve she would empty the jar and read all the papers and remember all the wonderful blessings that God had sent her way that year. Let’s face it when we have our own businesses sometimes we need encouragement and this sounds like a great way to do that. I have talked to others who do something similar. Some used file cards that were punched and clipped together on an O ring. Others create a Blessings Document in Word/Google Docs and paste things into it or jot a quick note about a blessing for that day or one for the week in their planner. Do you have a Blessing Jar? Have you done this another way? You still have time to create one before next year begins and if you do something like this already I would love to hear about it and what you love best about this.

Today we visit the 4th candle in the advent wreath Today we visit the 4th candle in the advent wreath which represents Love. Do you love what you do? Did you start a business because you wanted to have a life you love? I believe that everyone is gifted to do something amazing in the world. You have a unique set of gifts, talents and passions. When they intersect something amazing happens. How do you want love to be represented in your business in 2022? Do you provide 1-1 work for your clients? Do you offer group coaching programs? Do you have a podcast that is listened to by 100’s or 1000’s of people each week? How can you send out some love to them? Do you know what they need? What is their biggest ache? How can you help them? If everything we did started and ended with love, we would leave a lasting legacy and make the world a better place to live because Love makes the world go round? I hope you will pick one of the questions above and share your answer in the comments below.
“We should certainly count our blessings, but we “We should certainly count our blessings, but we should also make our blessings count.” – Neal A. Maxwell Do you love the classic Christmas songs? In the movie “White Christmas” Bing Crosby sings a song, “Count Your Blessings instead of sheep.” The beautiful reminder in that song is that when you are having trouble sleeping, most people say they count sheep. It works great for one mattress company that uses cute sheep in their ads but do people really count sheep? So why not count your blessings instead? Blessings sometimes come in the most unexpected places. It might be a card that you receive in the mail for no special reason. It might be the email you just received from a customer who was so touched by how you helped them. It might be that conversation as you prepare dinner with your family or as you sit around the table. Maybe it is the friend who is sick and you drop off soup or run to the store for them. It gives us a chance to carry the spirit of Thanksgiving with us all year long and that is always a good thing. Did you receive any blessings like that this year? Would you share them in the comments below. Let’s spread some extra joy and sunshine by counting and sharing our blessings. I’ll go first. One of the best blessings I received this year was when my daughter and I had “that nasty virus going around” and couldn’t leave the house, my honey and our neighbors helped take care of us with meals and grocery shopping! So thankful for such amazing people in our lives!
